The wound polypropylene wire cartridges, having the same micron rating throughout the cartridge diameter, perform surface filtration, which can cause saturation more frequently.

The increase in pressure causes the threads to move (deforming structure), allowing new threads to continue filtering without creating excessive overpressures in the filter.

Due to their price and characteristics, they are designed for facilities where maintenance and replacement of this consumable is frequently performed.
