GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Toro's EVOLUTION® Series controller is a one-of-a-kind irrigation controller designed to help you meet the needs of your residential and light commercial customers. Modular between 4 and 16 stations, the EVOLUTION controller features a unique and intuitive menu system that offers simple programming and easy-to-understand prompts. Shortcut buttons provide quick access to basic watering functions, while the advanced menu makes specialized functions available, such as grow schedules, an auxiliary schedule for accessories, and delayed starts between zones. Pairing the EVOLUTION series controller with a Smart Connect plug-in receiver will enable wireless connectivity to water-saving accessories such as an ET-based weather sensor, Precision™ soil sensor, or SMRT Logic Internet Gateway.

LOGIC COMPATIBLE

Toro SMRT Logic offers cloud-based landscape control anytime, anywhere. Through the SMRT Scape™ app or website, users can remotely control and manage their irrigation system, outdoor lighting or other key features of their landscape from wherever they are. SMRT Logic communicates with EVOLUTION through a Smart Connect™ transceiver that uses a secure 900 MHz radio signal to communicate with the controller.

WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY

When paired with a Smart Connect Receiver (sold separately), the EVOLUTION Series controller can wirelessly communicate with a number of powerful water-saving accessories, including the ET-based weather sensor, Precision™ Soil Sensor , the auxiliary relay, the handheld remote control, or SMRT Logic. SMRT Logic is a unique internet gateway that enables cloud-based control of your yard via the SMRT Scape™ website or app.

LCD DISPLAY, BACKLIT

The EVOLUTION series controller features a backlit LCD display that makes programming the controller and making future adjustments easy and straightforward. The multilingual display can be set to one of six different languages.

STATION COUNT FLEXIBILITY

Available 4 (EMOD-4) or 12 (EMOD-12) station expansion modules are designed for fast and secure customization of the EVOLUTION series controller station count. Expansion modules are hot-swappable.

WIRELESS WEATHER SENSOR COMPLEMENTARY DEVICE (OPTIONAL)

It uses live solar and temperature measurements, as well as historical weather data from your location to calculate the amount of water needed from the irrigation system.

HANDHELD REMOTE ADD-ON DEVICE, (OPTIONAL)

The backlit display makes maintenance checks a snap, day or night, allowing you to run sprinklers or programs from up to 1000 feet away.

ADDITIONAL DEVICE FOR PRECISION GROUND SENSOR, (OPTIONAL)

Up to three soil sensors (one per program) can be used to monitor the level of moisture in the soil and prevent overwatering and underwatering. With a wireless range of up to 500 feet, there's no digging to install.

ADDITIONAL WIRELESS AUXILIARY RELAY DEVICE, (OPTIONAL)

Up to two wireless relays can be used to turn on lights, pumps, or fountains, just to name a few possibilities.

POWERFUL TRANSFORMER

The 1.25 amp transformer is capable of powering up to four solenoids simultaneously.

TIME ADJUSTMENT

Reduce or increase run times between -95% and +150% of your programming. Adjustments can be applied to the entire schedule or to individual stations. Watering can also be manually delayed until the next scheduled start or up to fourteen days.
